Mr. Michael Ayesu is an Economist and was educated in Ghana and the United Kingdom.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Sciences (Economics. & Sociology) and a Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast.

Mr. Ayesu undertook a course of study at the University of Glasgow, UK where he graduated with a Diploma and M.Phil. in Monetary Economics.  He participated in various courses and seminars among which are Seminar on Financial Management and Reporting, World Bank – Accra, International Economic and Financial Negotiations at the International Institute of Public Administration – Paris and Assuring the Quality of World Bank Operations in Africa, World Bank – Washington D.C.

He was a teacher at the St. Martins Secondary School, Nsawam, an Economics Officer at the Ministry of Finance – Policy Analysis Division, a Senior Advisor to Ghana’s Executive Director at the World Bank Group, Washington D.C. and Head of the World Bank Unit of the Ministry of Finance.

He was the Director, External Resource Mobilization Division at the Ministry of Finance and is currently the Coordinating Director, Operations at the Ministry of Finance.
