Mr. Roland Akosah holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (1989), and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics & Statistics from the University of Ghana (1984).
He is the founder and CEO of ENO International, LLC, which is a privately held firm founded in 1994, which invests largely in start-ups. Prior to morphing into an entrepreneur, Mr. Roland O. Akosah had had corporate careers at SallieMae Corporation (a higher education financier), United Technologies (an industrial conglomerate), and IBM.
His varied areas of responsibilities included contract negotiations and management (at SallieMae), business planning, analysis, and management reporting (at the North American Operations of the Otis Elevator Division of United Technologies), forecasting the personal computer systems and telecommunications marketplace in the United States (at IBM).
n addition to his entrepreneurial engagements, Mr. Roland O. Akosah serves on several boards. The list includes Multimedia Group Limited (media), Garden City University College, FOCOS Foundation (USA and Ghana). He is a fellow of the West African Leadership Initiative of the Aspen Institute (USA), which is committed to advancing enlightened citizenship around the world. He is also the Chairman of the National Partnership for Children’s Trust, a Nelson Mandela-inspired charity that is dedicated to educating indigent youth.
Roland is a poet, and a member of the Ghana Association of Writers. He performs recitals on radio, television, and public forums.
