Richard Antwi is an astute banker with over 18 years of working experience in the banking, consulting and advisory industry. 

 

He is currently the Chief Operation Officer at National Investment Bank Limited (NIB). Having risen through the ranks as Credit Officer, Project Officer, Branch Manager and Zonal Manager in charge of Ashanti, Bono and Bono East Zone with the only Investment Bank in Ghana.  Prior to his employment with NIB, he spent few months working with HFC Bank (now Republic Bank Ghana Limited) as Credit Analyst.

 

Mr. Antwi worked in academia as an Adjunct Lecturer at Knutsford University College, Ghana, handling students at various levels in Economics and Management.

 

His passion for research and consulting saw him working for local and multi-national organisations on both full and parttime basis. Between 1996 and 1998, he worked on several contract research projects at the Bureau of Integrated Rural Development (BIRD), College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, KNUST, as Contract Research Assistant.

He also worked as an Associate Consultant for P&H Consult on various USAID, DANIDA and Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development projects. 

 

Mr. Richard Antwi holds Master of Science (MSc) Degrees in Economics and International Business from Copenhagen Business School, Denmark and another in International Management from University of Southern Denmark. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Social Work Administration from the University of Ghana, Legon.  

 

Mr. Antwi speaks fluent English, Danish, Akan and Ga.
