NIB MD Calls on Yagbonwura

The Managing Director of the National Investment Bank PLC (NIB), Chief Dr. Doliwura Zakaria Awushi Abdul-Malik Seidu has over the weekend called on the King and Overlord of the Gonja Kingdom, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale (I).

The visit was to formally inform him of his appointment as Managing Director of the Bank by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.

Chief Dr. Doliwura Zakaria who himself is a royal, informed His Royal Majesty, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale (I) that he deemed it expedient to seek his blessings as he assumes leadership of the Bank especially in this Holy month of Ramadan. He added that NIB needs prayers now more than ever.

He used the occasion to donate some items and an undisclosed sum to the Yagbonwura in support of the Ramadan fast.

On his part, the Yagbonwura lauded him for the kind gesture and assured him of his prayer support.

Chief Dr. Doliwura Zakaria reaffirmed the bank’s commitment in fostering strong bonds with communities in its area of operation and challenged the youth to desist from social vices and strive for excellence to make Ghana the oasis of peace and a beacon of hope and progress.
