NIB Assures Lower Interest Rates for Health Workers

In a bid to support Ghana’s healthcare workforce and enhance financial accessibility for public sector employees, the Managing Director of National Investment Bank PLC (NIB), Chief Dr. Doliwura Zakaria, met with the Minister of Health, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, to discuss tailored financial solutions for the Ministry and its agencies.

During the meeting, Chief Dr. Zakaria reaffirmed NIB’s commitment to providing affordable financial services to health workers across the country. He announced that the Bank would offer lower interest rates on its Salaried Worker Loans for employees within the Ministry and its affiliated agencies. This initiative aims to ease the financial burden on health professionals while ensuring that the Ministry gets value for money in its financial dealings with the Bank.

Beyond competitive loan rates, NIB pledged to extend credit facilities to all employees within the health sector, providing them with access to flexible and convenient banking solutions. By doing so, the Bank seeks to empower healthcare professionals with the financial support they need to enhance their well-being and efficiency in delivering essential services.

The Minister of Health welcomed this initiative, expressing appreciation for NIB’s tailored financial support for health workers. He emphasized that such strategic collaborations between the banking and health sectors would not only improve the welfare of healthcare workers but also strengthen the overall healthcare system in Ghana.

As part of its broader vision, NIB continues to align itself with government institutions to drive economic stability and national development. By forging strategic partnerships and offering financial solutions designed to meet the unique needs of different sectors, the Bank reaffirms its position as a key player in Ghana’s financial ecosystem.

This collaboration between NIB and the Ministry of Health is expected to provide lasting benefits for health professionals, ensuring that they have the financial flexibility to meet their personal and professional goals while contributing to quality healthcare delivery in Ghana.
