NIB and GIPC to Forge Strategic Partnership
To strengthen institutional ties and explore collaborative opportunities, Chief Dr. Doli-Wura Zakaria, the Managing Director of National Investment Bank PLC (NIB), recently paid a courtesy call on Mr. Simon Madjie, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC). The meeting was characterized by mutual goodwill and a shared vision for enhancing Ghana’s investment landscape.
Strengthening Investment Collaboration
Chief Dr. Zakaria emphasized the importance of a strategic partnership between NIB and GIPC to bolster investment initiatives. He proposed collaborative efforts to attract and manage investments, aligning with NIB’s mission to support Ghana’s economic development.
Mr. Madjie expressed strong support for this initiative, suggesting that GIPC’s Investor Relations team could work closely with NIB to ensure that new businesses entering Ghana are encouraged to establish banking relationships with NIB. He noted that such collaboration would enhance NIB’s visibility and position it as a key player in Ghana’s financial sector.

Supporting Local Businesses and International Engagements
Mr. Madjie assured Chief Dr. Zakaria that GIPC views NIB as a natural partner in advancing the agenda to promote local Ghanaian businesses. He also invited NIB to participate in the upcoming Japan Expo 2025, suggesting that involvement in such international events would broaden NIB’s horizons and attract potential investors.
Looking Ahead
The meeting concluded with both leaders expressing optimism about the potential synergies between NIB and GIPC. They agreed to pursue joint initiatives that would not only benefit their respective organizations but also contribute to the broader economic growth of Ghana.
This engagement underscores NIB’s commitment to fostering strategic partnerships and enhancing its role in Ghana’s investment promotion efforts.
