Mr. Michael Ayesu is an Economist and was educated in Ghana and the United Kingdom. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Sciences (Economics & Sociology) and a Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast. He studied at the University of Glasgow, UK where he graduated with a Diploma and M.Phil. in Monetary Economics. 

He has undertaken several courses and participated in seminars such as Financial Management and Reporting, International Economic and Financial Negotiations at the International Institute of Public Administration Paris and Assuring the Quality of World Bank Operations in Africa, World Bank Washington D.C. He is currently the Director of External Resource Mobilization Division at the Ministry of Finance.
