Chief Dr. Doli-Wura Zakaria Appointed as Managing Director of National Investment Bank PLC

The Board of Directors of National Investment Bank PLC (NIB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Chief Dr. Doli-Wura Awushi Abdul-Malik Seidu Zakaria as the new Managing Director of the Bank.

Chief Dr. Doli-Wura Zakaria, is a distinguished national and global personality with over two decades of experience in Governance, Public Financial Management, Revenue Mobilisation for local and national governments and entrepreneurship. With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Chief Dr. Doli-Wura Zakaria stands out as a trailblazer in Leadership, Conflict Resolution, Mediation, Audit, Monitoring and Decentralisation. He possesses experiences in Research, Training and Capacity Building, Networking, Lobbying, Resource Mobilization, and Inter-Faith Peace Building. He is the current Chairperson of the African Union Interfaith Dialogue Forum (AU-IFDF) Steering Committee.

Chief Dr. Doli-Wura Zakaria holds a Doctorate in Public Policy and Administration from Walden University (USA); Master of Arts degree in Economic Policy Management (EPM), from the University of Ghana; and a Chartered Accountant. He is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA, Ghana); the American Society of Public Administrators, USA; Institute of Internal Auditors, Ghana; and an accomplished Entrepreneur.

Before his appointment, he was the Director of Finance at the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs. His work experience in the government sector covers MDAs and MMDAs leading to acquisition of skill-sets relevant for ensuring effective revenue mobilisation for nation-building at all levels. This strengthens his unique appreciation and outlook on fostering efficiency in resource custody, integrity, utilisation and safety of public funds.

His vast experience demonstrates a proven track-record and ability to transform financial systems, enhance revenue streams, and contribute to national development through innovative strategies and effective implementation.

The appointment of Chief Dr. Doli-Wura Zakaria marks a significant step in NIB’s journey towards enhanced financial performance and improved service delivery. His leadership is expected to drive initiatives that align with Ghana’s economic growth objectives and position the Bank as a leader in the development finance space.
