Dr. P.A. Kuranchie - Managing Director
Dr. P.A. Kuranchie joined the National Investment Bank Limited in March, 2009 as the acting Managing Director. His appointment was confirmed in August, 2009. Dr. Kuranchie is also the Board Chairman and Executive Chairman of Kasapreko Company Limited.
He holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (Ghana) and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (Ghana). He was the Managing Director of the Agricultural Development Bank and a past president of the Ghana Bankers Association and Ghana Science Association.
Dr, Kuranchie, has also worked at the Ghana Food Distribution Corporation as Managing Director for seven years and was a Research Officer of the Food Research Institute of CSIR. Past assignments include a Senior Consultant at the Management Development and Productivity Institute and for the World Bank and the Canadian International Development Association as well as serving on National Committees and Boards.
He has also lectured part-time in Agricultural Economics at the University of Ghana with a number of academic publications to his credit.

Dr. Emmanuel Ablo - Board Chairman
Dr. Emmanuel Ablo is an economist who was educated at the University of Ghana, Legon and the Claremont Graduate School where he was awarded with a Ph. D. in Economics after his tenure of study.
He has lectured and worked at the Bank of Ghana as the Deputy Manager for Research, Bank of Bostwana as the Director of Research, Government of Zambia as the Economic Advisor to the Minister of Finance (under the World Bank Technical Assistance Project) and at the World Bank, Uganda as the country economist until he retired in September, 2003.
After his retirement, Dr. Ablo has been involved in a number of consultancy assignments and is a member of the Boards and Councils of institutions such as the African Centre for Economic Transformation, Evangelical Presbyterian University College. He is also a member of the Advisory Council of the H. E. President John Evans Atta Mills.

Mr. Kwadwo Owusu-Tweneboa - Deputy Managing Director
An economist by profession, Mr. Owusu-Tweneboa joined the Board of the National Investment Bank Limited in August 2001 as the Deputy Managing Director.
He holds a Masters degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Manchester, England as wells as a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Ghana. Mr. Owusu-Tweneboa worked with the erstwhile Bank for Housing and Construction and the National Banking College as the Director of Academic affairs.

Mr. Jude Kofi Bucknor - Member
Mr. Jude Kofi Bucknor is currently the Ghanaian Managing Partner of Kingdom Zephyr Africa Management Company in Accra. He worked for the Chemical Bank, New York, after obtaining an MBA (Finance) degree from Columbia University in New York. He rose to the rank of Vice President of the bank. Prior to that, Mr. Bucknor had obtained a BSc (Administration) degree from the University of Ghana, Legon.
He then joined the African Development Bank and on his departure from the Bank he held the position of Treasurer. Mr. Bucknor joined Lehman Brothers International, London as an Executive Director, Corporate Finance with responsibility for Africa. He returned to Ghana as Managing Director of CAL Merchant Bank which he headed until 2000 when he formed his own corporate finance advisory firm, J. Kofi Bucknor & Associates. He has held and continues to hold a number of board memberships in prominent companies, including Leshego Limited, Botswana, Newmont Ghana Gold and Ecobank Transnational amongst others.
He is a member of various councils and committees including the Policy Committee of the Centre for Policy Studies on African Economies at Oxford University and the Commonwealth Secretary General's Special Advisory Panel on the Asian Financial Crisis.

Mr. D. K. Mensah - Member
Mr. D. K. Mensah is a Banker, who was educated in Ghana and Nigeria. He initially read Economics with Political Science from the University of Ghana, Legon and went to the University of Ibadan where he graduated with an M. Sc. in Economic.
Mr. Mensah then undertook a course of study at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration coming out with a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He was a teacher at the Accra High School and a lecturer at the Bendel State University. Other past positions he has held include the Research Economist and the Business Development Officer at the National Investment Bank Limited.
He is currently the Executive Secretary of the Ghana Association of Bankers and is a Trustee of the Venture Capital Trust Fund and the Financial Investment Trust. He is also a member of the board of the Eximguaranty Company Limited, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the West African Interbank Payments Systems.

Ms. Elizabeth Solomon - Member
A highly versatile woman, Ms. Elizabeth Solomon begun her career as a State Registered Nurse in Ghana. She furthered her education in the nursing profession, attaining a Certificate of Registration in Midwifery and a B. Sc. in Nursing from the United States of America.
Ms. Solomon then entered the University of Ghana to read LLB (Hons.). She was later awarded the BL. (Qualifying Certificate in Law) and was finally called to the Ghana Bar in October, 1972.
Since being called to the Bar, Ms. Solomon has worked at the then State Insurance Corporation (SIC Limited) as a Legal Advisor.
She has also been a Member of the Electoral Commissioner and is currently a Legal Advisor and a Member of FIDA Ghana Legal Services.
Her past assignments have included being a Member of Electoral and Technical Observer Missions for the Commonwealth Secretariat and the United Nations Development Programme.

Mr. Sampson Akuetteh Nortey - Member
An Economist by profession, Mr. Nortey read B.A. Economics at the University of Ghana, Legon. Also at the same university, he went on to do an M. Phil in Economics, majoring in Econometric and International Finance.
Mr. Nortey has worked with the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning since 1999 and was seconded to the Commonwealth Secretariat (Economic Affairs Division) in the United Kingdom where he did a one year stint.
He has publications to his credit on various sectors and aspects of economics, some written solely by him and others written as a member of a team or group. Mr. Sampson has served as a board member of different institutions including the Ghana Boxing Association.

Pemampem Yaw Kagbrese V - Member
Pemampem Yaw Kagbrese V is the Omanhene of the Yeji Traditional Area. He is a farmer and a building contractor by profession.
Pemampem Kagbrese V schooled in the Yamba and the Bekwai College of Accountancy with a Royal Society of Arts (R.S.A.) Stage II. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Mathias Hospital Advisory Board and a member of the National House of Chiefs, Kumasi.

Mr. Seth Ofori-Ohene - Member
Mr. Ofori-Ohene is a Communications Practitioner and a seasoned politician. He is currently the Communication Director of the National Democratic Congress.
He is a trained journalist from Ghana Institute of Journalism and also holds an Advanced Diploma in Journalism from the Thomson Foundation Educational Study Centre.
Mr. Seth Ofori-Ohene also holds a Master of Arts Degree in Political Communications from the Cardiff University in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Stephen Ahor - Member
A lawyer by profession, Mr. Stephen Ahor was educated at the University of Ghana, Legon where he obtained a B.A. in Accounting, Management and Law. He went to the Ghana Law School where he qualified as a Solicitor and a Barrister at law.
Other qualifications include a degree in Commercial Law from the University of the West from Bristol, United Kingdom . Mr. Stephen Ahor is also a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, United Kingdom with a Credit in Insurance Law.
Mr. Ahor has worked with Nissi Consult as an Associate Member and with the SNV – Netherlands Development Organisation as a Legal Officer from June 2001 to September 2003. He currently works with Deleric Law Consult as a Solicitor and Barrister at law.

Mrs. Catherine Hlodze - Member
A businesswoman, Mrs. Hlodze was educated at the University of Ghana, Legon where she obtained a B. Sc. Administration degree with an Accounting option. She later went on to do a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance).
Mrs. Catherine Hlodze begun her career as a Trainee Consultant with the A.A. & K Consulting Services and moved to Big Aidoo Construction Limited as a Senior Accountant. She rose through the ranks and is now the General Manager (Finance/Administration).

Honourable Inusah Fuseini - Member
Honourable (Hon.) Inusah Fuseini trained as a teacher at the Bagabaga Training College. After working with the Ghana Education Service for a short while, he entered the University of Ghana and graduated as a Bachelor of Law. Hon. Fuseini then proceeded to the Ghana Law School and was called to the Bar in 2000.
He has also worked with the University of Ghana as a Teaching Assistant and is currently a Senior Associate at the Law Trust Company.
Hon. Inusah Fuseini is also the Deputy Secretary for the Coalition of Muslim Organisations and the External Solicitor for some reputable organisations including Star Oil Company Limited.
He is currently the Member of Parliament for the Tamale Central Constituency and a Deputy Minister of Energy.

Mrs. Della Sowah - Member
Mrs. Sowah is a graduate of the University of Science and Technology Kumasi with a (BA Social Sciences) degree. Mrs. Sowah is also pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) at the Henley College United Kingdom. She has gained extensive training in the field of marketing.
She trained with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) under the Porter Noveli Program and also received training in Advertising and Commercial Film Production from Creative Film Makers in London. She furthered her training in marketing with Tack Training International where she studied Marketing and Advanced Marketing Programs.
Mrs. Sowah is presently a partner at the Resource Strategic Consultancy and SpeedMasters where she provides market analysis for clients. She also organizes specialized training for public and corporate organizations in the areas of Customer Care, Marketing and Communication.
She worked with Dapeg Limited where she was the Chief Executive Officer there; her responsibilities included Advertising, Public relations, Marketing and Research. She was also responsible for setting up branches of the company in Nigeria, Ivory Coast and the Zambia. She evaluated and analyzed projects undertaken by Dapeg for clients such as USAID, Ghana Commercial Bank, Microsoft and Mobil.
Mrs. Sowah has worked in the capacity of Research Manager at Essor Limited and is a past Executive Secretary of the Advertising Association of Ghana.
